"Blown Away" is the movie title and an apt description of an explosion that was being filmed for a new movie on the East Boston side of the Boston harbor on September 24, 1993. The spectacular explosion, which blew apart a ship, required standby firefighters to call for an additional alarm to extinguish the aftermath.
