The company specializes in Mission Critical response to public agency needs, and is capable of fulfilling urgent requirements for communication equipment and accessories at much faster response times than typical of manufacturers.   49er Communications operates on a basis of Not Tomorrow, Right This Second (NTRTS) pronounced “NIT-RITZ” when fulfilling urgent requirements of government agencies.

In support of the USFS efforts during wildland fire season, 49er is able to assemble and ship large orders of radios and spare parts all within the same day, several times a week, over a 4 month period. 

Active customers include over 2000 Federal accounts including DOD-ARMY, DOD-USAF, DOD-USN, DHS-TSA, DHS-USCG, USDA-USFS, DOI-BLM, DOI-BIA, DOJ and more.  Total billing to federal agencies exceeds $ 1 M annually exclusive of such large projects.

49er Communications stocks US made Bendix-King (BK) high specification portable and mobile radios suitable for use for military, security, fire suppression and other public safety activities.  The company maintains a significant inventory (varies from 50-500 units) of APCO P25 compliant VHF radios in its California warehouse.  In addition, 49er Communications maintains a large inventory of accessories for these radios, including batteries and spare parts. 

In addition to BK Radios, 49er Communications is established with THALES and HARRIS multi-band radios which cover 4 frequency bands in one handheld unit.  Interoperability is at the finger tips of fire commanders with VHF, UHF, 700 & 800 Mhz all in one unit fully capable of conventional and P25 Trunking along with encryption, cross band channels and front panel programming capabilities.
