Trident Emergency Products’ AirMax Intake Relief Valve is an air-operated, remote-controlled intake relief valve design with panel control adjustment from 50 to 300 PSI. Competitive remote-controlled relief valves use water pressure to operate, requiring water-filled control lines, debris strainers, needle valves, etc. that are subject to maintenance, freezing and labor-intensive installation. Preset relief valves depend on a mechanical spring that produces an increasing force as it opens, resulting in a low relief water flow and more pressure rise. Preset relief valves are usually located in the pump compartment and adjustments can only be made by crawling under the truck.
