Valparaiso, IN -- TFT’s SHO-FLOW 1 Flow Meter series provides accurate, real time information for use in testing, training and firefighting operations about water flow rates on a single hose line.
When installed, the device generates power using water flow to run itself, so no batteries are needed to operate! Power is harvested from an internal moving turbine and will transmit flow rates to any smart device via Bluetooth. The SHO-FLOW is simple, reliable and easy to use. The new SHO-FLOW 1 is 1.5” (38mm), and a 2.5” (63mm) version will be released later this year.
The SHO-FLOW 1 is substantially more compact than competitive models, coming in at only 6.1” (155mm) in length and weighing only 2.6 pouunds (1.2kg). It requires no batteries and comes factory calibrated. Flow rates can be viewed on any Android or Apple smart device via TFT’s free app, which is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. The flow meter can be easily connected in line with any size hose that has 1.5” couplings.
Since flow readings are transmitted to a linked smart device, the unit is extraordinarily rugged and convenient. There is no worry about display screens being damaged in extreme fire service use, no batteries to monitor for operation, and you don’t need to be next to the unit to obtain flow information.
The SHO-FLOW 1 is accurate with minimal friction loss and can be used with water or a water/foam mix. Its flow range is 50 – 300 gpm (200 – 1150 l/min) with a maximum operating pressure of 300 psi. Inlet/outlets are available in NH, NPSH and BSP styles.
The SHO-FLOW 1 has an introductory list price of $995.00 USD and is available for order through TFT distributors worldwide.
