FDNY Engine Slams into Building on Call

FDNY Engine 254 was responding to a fire call Sunday night in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn when it collided with a Mercedes and crashed into a clothing store.

Six people suffered injuries when a responding FDNY apparatus collided with another vehicle and was sent crashing into a building.

According to WABC News, the incident happened at about 11:30 pm on Sunday night in Brooklyn's Gravesend neighborhood and involved Engine 254, which collided with a Mercedes before barreling into a clothing store while responding to a fire call.

Five firefighters and the driver of the Mercedes were treated for minor injuries, and five other people were evacuated from an adjacent apartment as a precaution.
