A Dayton fire truck was responding to a call for service and had its lights and sirens on when it was hit by an SUV Monday morning, according to police.

The driver of the SUV was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for a minor neck injury, said Dayton Police Lt. Sgt. Theodore Trupp.

No fire personnel were injured during the crash.

Around 8:20 a.m., crews were called to the intersection of Brown and Wyoming streets on a crash involving a fire truck.

"Once on scene, they discovered that the fire truck was utilizing lights and sirens while traveling southbound on Brown Street responding to a call for service," Trupp said. "As they approached the intersection at Brown and Wyoming, (the SUV) did not completely stop at the red light, causing a collision with the fire engine truck."
