NY Fire Officer Injured in Collision on Way to Call

A civilian vehicle T-boned and overturned a Buffalo Fire Department officer's SUV as the official was responding to an emergency.

A New York fire official was injured when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle over the weekend.

The accident happened as the Buffalo fire officer was heading to a call in the North Buffalo neighborhood shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday, WIVB-TV reports. Another vehicle T-boned the officer's SUV and overturned it.

The officer was taken to the hospital, and police told WIVB that the injuries were not considered life-threatening. The other vehicle's driver was uninjured in the collision.

Police are investigating the incident.
