FDNY Firefighters among Seven Injured in Apparatus Crash

Five firefighters and two civilians were injured and taken to the hospital following an accident involving an FDNY apparatus and another vehicle in Queens.

Five FDNY firefighters were among seven people injured in a two-vehicle collision involving an apparatus early Sunday.

The accident happened just before 4:15 a.m. in Queens, WABC-TV reports. That's when an FDNY apparatus was part of a crash with a car.

The collision injured fire firefighters aboard the rig, as well as two civilians. They were all taken to the hospital, and details about the extent of their injuries were not released.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
