Chesterfield, VA, Ladder Truck Hit on I-95; Firefighters Hurt

The driver of the truck that hit the rig was charged with driving under the influence.

Two Chesterfield firefighters were injured Saturday night when their ladder truck was struck at a crash scene on I-95 in Virginia.

Juan Sara Cruz, was charged with driving under the influence and other offenses, WRIC reported. 

After hitting the rig on the left side, the 2019 GMC pickup that was traveling at a high speed struck another vehicle.

Two firefighters were released after treatment for minor injuries. Two civilians also were injured in the wreck that closed the highway for several hours.
