Woman Killed after Car Collides with St. Paul, MN, Fire Truck

No firefighters in the engine were hurt in the collision that occurred while they were responding to a call.

A woman was killed and her husband was injured after their car and a St. Paul fire engine collided Saturday night.

The fire engine was responding to a fire emergency when the crash happened.

Both civilians were trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated, according to CBS News. 

They were taken to Regions Hospital were the woman died of her injuries. The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

No firefighters were hurt in the wreck being investigated by Minnesota State Patrol.
