Jonesboro, AR, Paramedic, Civilian Killed in Ambulance Collision

The Emerson Ambulance Service rig was hit head-on by a Nissan that crossed the center line in Lake City.

A paramedic and a civilan driver were killed in a head-on crash Friday in Lake City. 

Paramedic Mark Gibson, 56, who was treating the patient in the ambulance and the driver of a Nissan, Janet Chapman, 67, were killed in the collision, according to Jonesboro Right Now.

Cherie Gibson, 54, who was driving the ambulance, and Phyllis Moore, 72, the patient, were injured. They were transported to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis. There was no information on their conditions.

Cherie is the wife of the medic killed in the wreck.
