Jan. 15—EAST HAVEN — Police are looking for a white pickup they say sideswiped a firetruck carrying firefighters responding to a call Tuesday evening.

No one was injured when the pickup, believed to be a Ford F-150, hit the rescue truck that was parked on Forbes Place, according to East Haven Police Capt. Joseph M. Murgo. He said the damage was minor.

As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, the pickup had not been found, Murgo said.

Police and firefighters are asking for the public's help in finding the evading pickup driver.

"EHFD not immune to evading drivers who struck our Rescue 1 while on a call on Forbes Place in a white Ford F-150," the East Haven Firefighters Local 1205 posted on X. "Anyone see anything feel free to reach out."
