Pumper Crashes into Rockville Centre, NY, Store

Three firefighters were injured after their pumper crashed into a building trying to avoid a collision with an SUV in Rockville Centre.

Six people were injured after a pumper tried to avoid a turning vehicle and crashed into a Rockville Centre business.

The fire apparatus was responding a report of fire smell inside a business on South Long Beach Road when the crash happened, according to NBC New York.

In surveillance video obtained by the television station, it appears the fire truck tried to avoid colliding with an SUV that turned left in front of the fire apparatus.

ABC 7 New York reported that the fire truck crashed into Master of Furniture around 11:30 a.m.

Three firefighters were treated for minor injuries at the scene. 

Three people inside the store were taken to the hospital, with injuries that were reported to be minor.
