Three children and an adult in the car that turned in front of the Tulsa fire engine were killed while two adults remain hospitalized.

A four-year-old girl seriously injured in a vehicle crash involving a Tulsa fire engine has died.

Makiya'Lynn Chatmon died on Tuesday while a one-year-old died earlier this week -- bringing to four the number killed in the wreck, Fox23 reported.

The Tulsa fire engine, with its emergency equipment activated as it was responding to a fire call, struck the car after it reportedly turned in front of it. After the collision, the car hit a utility pole.

A 23-year-old woman and a five-year-old girl died at the scene.

The driver as well as a pregnant woman, who lost her baby, remain hospitalized.

Firefighters aboard the engine, who were not hurt, immediately started rendering aid to the victims.

A vigil to remember the victims was held Tuesday night.

The latest victim, Makiya, was remembered as a fun-loving girl.

"She was energetic. The peace sign she would put it up and she was just a glimmer of hope, but the hope ain’t gone. We still see the glimmer," Adrian Colbert Sr., a family member, said.

He added that her family had prayed hard that she would pull through.

"It was the end of a journey that we didn’t want to take the road but now we can finally come together as a family and grieve now," he said.
