A rollover crash overnight on the Eisenhower Expressway led to a second collision that involved a Chicago fire truck.
Shortly after 4 a.m., a car was heading the wrong way in the inbound lanes of I-290 at Kostner Avenue, when it hit a concrete dividing barrier, and landed on the CTA tracks in the middle of the expressway.
The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, CBS reported.
As police and firefighters were on the scene of the crash, a black Jeep hit three other vehicles, including a Chicago Fire Department fire truck that was helping to block traffic, and had its emergency lights activated.
No firefighters were hurt, but the driver of the Jeep was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
