‘Get them here now!’ Altadena, CA, Resident Pleaded as Eaton Fire Got Started

Frantic residents begged for firefighters as the Eaton fire was getting started on Jan. 7.

The panic is evident from residents who pleaded for help when they called Sierra Madre Police as a raging wildfire surrounded them.

"I need the fire department on Riviera Drive. There's houses on fire..."there's no f*****g anybody here!... Get them here now," one woman tells a dispatcher. 

The frantic calls came as the start of the Eaton fire that claimed 17 and destroyed thousands of structures, KABC reported. 

Residents' fear and frustration increased as the fire took over their neighborhoods.

"It looks really... close to me, it kind of looks like... near Baldwin," a man advised. he said.
