NFFF Hosts 9-1-1 Stair Climb in Baltimore on April 16

A 9-1-1 memorial stair climb to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) will be held at 10 a.m. on April 16 at the M&T Bank Stadium .

A 9-1-1 memorial stair climb to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) will  be held at 10 a.m. on April 16 at the M&T Bank Stadium at 1101 Russell Street, Baltimore, Md.

Participants will climb flights of stairs in the stadium equaling 110 flights, the same number as the World Trade Center Towers. Each climber, wearing turout gear, station gear, or workout gear, will carry a photo of a firefighter who was lost on Sept. 11. It is not a timed event or a race. it is a way for climbers to honor and remember fallen firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. And new this year, SCBAs and tools are allowed.

Registration for the event starts at 8 a.m. with the step off happening at 10 a.m. A party at the IAFF Local 734 Hall, 1202 Ridgely Street, will follow with a free mission BBQ for a climbers as well as music and reduced price drinks.
