Annual TX Firefighter LODD Conference Will be Streamed Live
3rd Annual LODD Conference
October 24-26, 2017
Hurst, Texas (or via Webcast from your home!)
The Texas Fire Chiefs Association is actively encouraging fire chiefs to make this conference available to their entire department on their personnel's shift schedule.
Battalion Chiefs, Captains, Lieutenants, Drivers, and Firefighters need to hear from these outstanding speakers on how to minimize their risk with firefighter fatalities and injuries.
Firefighter fatality investigations keep on demonstrating that deviations to SOGs, risk vs. gain analysis for offensive operations, incident command challenges, inappropriate tactics, crew fragmentation, lack of personnel accountability, not evaluating lightweight building construction related to tactics, and other common findings keep on showing up in these tragic reports.
ACTION ITEM: A fire chief can make this LODD conference available to all shifts without incurring overtime and travel costs. The cost is only $1,000 for the entire department and can be shown on a shift schedule to get these fire service leaders' presentations to your personnel*.
*note: Gordon Graham and David Griffin's presentations will not be recorded per the speaker's request, but may be viewed LIVE via webcast. All other presentations will be recorded, archived and available for your shifts to review at their convenience.
Please consider purchasing this conference access for your members. Contact Betty Wilkes if you have questions (512.294.7423).
The LODD Conference will take place October 24th to 26th in Hurst.
