Vincent Orfini Receives 2024 Phillip L. Turner Scholarship from FAMA
Ocala, FL, August 23, 2024 - The Fire Apparatus Manufacturers’ Association (FAMA) awarded its 2024 Phillip L. Turner Fire Protection Scholarship to University of New Haven student Vincent Orfini. Orfini was selected to receive the $5,000 scholarship in recognition of his passion for volunteerism further supported by his strong GPA.
Orfini lives by the philosophy of service over self. He is a member of the Stony Point, NY, Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Stony Point Volunteer Fire District. With over 450 volunteer hours and recognized as one of the 10 Top Responders in 2022, Orfini’s passion to serve his community is evident. Beyond his commitment to serve, Orfini is focused on achieving his Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science – Arson Investigation and making his career goals a reality.
The Phillip L. Turner Scholarship, awarded annually by the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers' Association (FAMA), continues its legacy with the ongoing sponsorship of Akron Brass and Hale Products.
