State Farm® and National Volunteer Fire Council Team Up to Donate 500 Laptops to Fire Departments
State Farm® has teamed up with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) to provide 100 eligible fire departments with five previously owned laptops each. These laptops will aid departments in administrative tasks, training, incident tracking, and more that will enhance their capabilities and efficiency. The deadline to enter for the chance to receive laptops is March 31.
The laptops are previously owned but have been wiped clean. The donation is for the laptops only. It does not include operating systems, software, or technical support. The receiving departments are responsible for purchasing any productivity applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and any anti-virus software. View the laptop specifications here.
To enter for the chance to win five laptops, departments must meet the following requirements:
- Individual entering or chief of department must be a member of the NVFC. Check your membership status here. Not a member? Join here.
- Department must be located in the U.S. and legally organized under state law.
- Only departments in the 48 contiguous U.S. states can enter. Alaska and Hawaii are not eligible due to shipping restrictions.
- A physical address must be provided for shipping; laptops cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes. Entries with a P.O. Box will be disqualified.
- Laptops must be used for department purposes (not personal use) and cannot be redistributed or sold.
- Only one entry will be accepted per department; any subsequent entries received for that department are ineligible.
State Farm and the NVFC do not warrant the pre-owned laptops and take no responsibility for their use or misuse. View the official rules here.
The entry period is open from March 4-31, 2025. After the entry period, 100 fire departments that meet the criteria will be randomly selected to receive five pre-owned laptops. Winners will be announced by May 31. Winners will be contacted directly before the public announcement is made.
If you have any questions, contact Lori Shirley at [email protected] or 1-888-ASK-NVFC (275-6832).
State Farm and the NVFC also team up for the State Farm Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program. The application period for that grant program will open in June. Entry or selection in the Laptop Donation by State Farm program does not impact eligibility for the Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program.
