A shortage of firefighters in the region has prompted a donor to give $300,000 to the firefighter and EMT program at Cincinnati State College.
It isn't the first gesture of generosity shown to the fire service by philanthropist Harold Thomas, who in recent years also paid to have two firehouses rebuilt.
