FBI Executes Search Warrant at NY Fire Station; FF Suspended Immediately

June 16, 2023
IAFF 1071 said in a statement it had no involvement in the raid at the Rochester Engine 3.

A Rochester firefighter was suspended with pay following an FBI raid at a fire station.

Agents executed the search warrant at Engine 3 on Emerson Street on Tuesday, WROC reported.

Rochester Mayor Malik Evans told reporters: “All I know is that the FBI is investigating, and I will refer questions to them. The federal government is very tight-lipped about their investigations, so we know as much as you.”

On Thursday, IAFF Local 1071 said in a statement: "Local 1071 has been made aware that the FBI executed a search warrant at one of the city's firehouses on Tuesday, but the union had no involvement with that search or any possible ongoing criminal investigation. Any inquiries would need to be directed to the FBI."
