Former Savannah Battalion Chief Jeffrey Croslen said he was repeatedly passed over for promotions in favor of white candidates.

A former Savannah battalion chief, who claims he was overlooked for promotions, is suing the fire chief and the city.

Jeffrey Croslen claims he experienced racial discrimination and bias when he was passed over repeatedly for promotion in favor of white candidates, WJCL reported.

The current chief and other city officials tried to force Croslen to resign, and eventually demoted him when he spoke out, the suit alleges.
