UL Firefighter Safety Research Institute Opens Registration for Visitor Day
COLUMBIA, MD – The UL Firefighter Safety Research Institute (UL FSRI) is partnering with the Beavercreek Township Fire Department to conduct a series of experiments involving live fire as part of our AFG supported research project, Study of Coordinated Fire Attack utilizing Acquired Structures. The experiments will be conducted in four houses in Beavercreek Township, OH which were donated by a private home owner that were previously scheduled for demolition. Members from the Beavercreek Township Fire Department and surrounding fire departments will be participating in the experiments.
The UL FSRI team invites fire service members and media to attend their Visitor Day on December 7, 2018 at the test site located at 1030 Hilltop Rd, Xenia, OH 45385.
The day will begin at 0800 hours and run through approximately 1600 hours. Visitors will have the ability to view the structures, instrumentation, and test plan in the morning before we begin. Visitors will then have the opportunity to witness two full-scale experiments along with networking with the fire service project technical panel members and UL FSRI advisory board members.
Those who would like to attend must fill out the registration form by November 29th. Lunch and parking will be provided on-site.
