Fla. House Fire Causes $4M in Damage

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- A fire that broke out Wednesday night at a Boca Raton home caused about $4 million in damage, according to fire officials. A neighbor called to report a fire at about 7:40 p.m. at a home in the 200 block of Key Palm Road. Boca Raton firefighters arrived to find the garage engulfed in flames. The fire had quickly spread, fire officials said, and firefighters worked to put it out. No other homes in the area were affected, officials said.

A fire that broke out Wednesday night at a Boca Raton home caused about $4 million in damage, according to fire officials.

A neighbor called to report a fire at about 7:40 p.m. at a home in the 200 block of Key Palm Road.

Boca Raton firefighters arrived to find the garage engulfed in flames. The fire had quickly spread, fire officials said, and firefighters worked to put it out.

No other homes in the area were affected, officials said.

Boca Raton Fire Rescue representatives said damage to the home was estimated at about $4 million.

The state fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
