Minnesota House Fire Leaves One Dead

Firefighters rescued a woman from a Minneapolis house fire, administered CPR, but she succumbed to her injuries.

July 13--A house fire in south Minneapolis on Friday night left one woman dead.

According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, firefighters were called to the 4500 block of Minnehaha Avenue around 10:18 p.m.

Firefighters extinguished the fire at the bungalow-style home, rescued the lone occupant and performed CPR on her to no avail. The woman's identity will be released after an autopsy by the Hennepin County medical examiner.

A dog also died in the fire.

The fire is under investigation by the Minneapolis Fire Department.
