Ind. House Fire Kills Two

Jeffersonville Police Detective Todd Hollis said a man and woman were taken out of the home by responding firefighters, but they had already died.

Nov. 09--JEFFERSONVILLE -- Two adults were killed during a fire in their Jeffersonville home about 2 p.m. Saturday.

Jeffersonville Police Detective Todd Hollis said a man and woman were taken out of the home by responding firefighters, but they had already died. Their identities have not been provided.

Hollis said the two were residents of the Starview Court home, located near Hamburg Pike, and that no one else was in the home at the time of the blaze. He said it is too early to say what caused the fire.

He said that it has not yet been determined why the man and woman did not exit thehome at the time of the fire. Clark County Coroner Terry Conway said at 5 p.m. Saturday that information was still being gathered at the scene.
