A fire in a two-story row house claimed one person and sent two others to the hospital suffering from smoke inhalation and burns.

March 09--A person was killed and two other people suffered life-threatening injures in a West Baltimore fire late Saturday night, according to the city fire department.

Firefighters went a two-story row home in the 1900 block of N. Pulaski Street around 11:30 p.m. to tackle the fire. It was declared under control shortly after midnight, the department said.

One person was killed, and two people suffering from smoke inhalation and burns were rescued from the house by firefighters, and taken to Maryland Shock Trauma, according to fire department spokesman Ian Brennan. Another person was hurt but refused medical treatment, Brennan said.

All the victims of the fire were adults, according to Brennan, but no other details were immediately available about the fire or the person who died.
