Ky. Fire Station, Apparatus Destroyed by Blaze

An engine, a tanker and two other vehicles were destroyed.

Fire destroyed a Kentucky volunteer fire station and all of its equipment Tuesday morning.

The fire at Mt. Eden Volunteer Fire Department was reported about 5:45 a.m., according to LEX 18.

Inside the burning four-bay fire station were an engine, a tanker, an SUV and a forestry unit. No injuries were reported. 

Spencer County Fire Department has offered to loan the department an engine so they can remain in service.

The cause remains under investigation.
