    Bizarre Incident Along Texas Highway Leaves Man Hurt

    When the patient took off in his SUV, the ambulance cot was dragged along.

    A bizarre incident on a Texas interstate Sunday afternoon left a man seriously injured.

    EMS personnel in San Antonio found a nearly naked man in an SUV on an I-35 began around 12:30 p.m., KSAT reported.

    The medics were moving him when he broke free, drove away in the SUV, dragging the ambulance cot.

    The incident stopped when his SUV crashed into a truck, and police tasered him. 

    He was transported him to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition, but it's not clear whether he sustained injuries in the crash or before.

    If the fire service continually educates communities about fire tragedies of the past, public uproar over the needless loss of life can prompt lawmakers to take action to prevent or reduce further loss.
