Two Injured in Ind. House Fire

A woman rescued from the house was in cardiac arrest.

A couple was seriously injured early New Year's morning in a house fire in Speedway, Ind.

Crews found a man outside the fully engulfed house after being rescued by a police officer. Firefighters learned a woman was still inside, RTV6 reported. 

She was in cardiac arrest when she was rescued by firefighters. Both were hospitalized in serious condition.

Indianapolis and Wayne Township firefighters found chicken wire under the roof while venting.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. 

Walking near the scene was tricky due to icy conditions.
