Search Continues for Missing Nashville Firefighter

Authorities continue to look for a missing Nashville firefighter who disappeared after his vehicle plunged into the Tennessee River last Monday.
According to WKRN FoxNews, Jesse Reed, 32, went missing on Monday, March 5. Reed’s wife, who was a passenger in the vehicle when it went into the river, was found in a nearby ditch in Waverly.
Dive teams have been searching the waters since his disappearance when they found Reed’s vehicle, the windows were rolled down and his remains were not in it.
Search crews continue to work over the weekend looking for his remains or evidence about what happened.
In a Twitter message, Nashville Fire Department Director Chief William Swann wrote: ”As we head into the weekend we continue our efforts along with the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office to locate Firefighter Jesse Reed. We are so appreciative of the support and prayers we have received from around the country. I want to extend my great appreciation to all the counties who have volunteered their assistance with this search. Please continue to keep Firefighter Reed, his family and the NFD in your prayers.” #PraywithNFD
FoxNews reported that search warrants for two residences were executed for two residences on Friday in connection with Reed’s disappearance.
Authorities said they’re exploring all possibilities looking for Reed and Humphreys County Sherriff Chris Davis there’s no evidence to indicate that he is not still in the water.
The search effort continued through the weekend. The Nashville Fire Department’s dive team continued to search for Reed using underwater sonar and rovers as well as drones. The Hendersonville Fire Department also sent four divers to help.
The Nashville Fire Department told the news outlet that Reed risked his life to save strangers and he “performs his duties with exceptional professionalism."
