IA House Fire Kills Four Children, Others Hurt

Mason City firefighters found heavy fire showing from two floots.

A house fire in Mason City left four children between the ages of three and 12 dead. 

Mason City firefighters found flames coming from the first and second floors on the house, The Courier reported.

The victims were listed as John Michael Mcluer Jr., 12; Odin Thor Mcluer, 10; Drako Mcluer, 6; and Phenix Mcluer, 3.

John Michael Mcluer, 55; and Ravan Dawn Mcluer, 11, managed to escape the blaze and were transported to a hospital for treatment of burns.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
