The union representing Boston’s firefighters is asking for the public’s help to identify a group of spectators who climbed on top of several vehicles outside the department’s firehouse on Boylston Street during the Boston Celtics championship parade on Friday.

Sam Dillon, the president of Boston Local 718 Firefighters, said firefighters returned to the 941 Boylston St. firehouse after the parade, which traveled down Boylston Street, to find their personal vehicles “severely damaged & vandalized.”

“We will not tolerate the disrespect of our members,” Dillon wrote in a post on X.

Dillion also shared photos of people climbing and sitting on the vehicles. Some of the photos showed the damage, including the word “sorry” written on a windshield.

A Boston police report obtained by MassLive detailed the damage to the vehicles parked outside the firehouse.

In all, four vehicles — a Chevy Silverado pickup truck, a Ford F-150 pickup truck, a Ford Escape SUV and a Chevy Traverse — were damaged during the parade.

One vehicle had damage to its hood, roof, moon roof and windshield and had scratches around the entire vehicle. Another had damage to its roof, drivers’ side mirror, tailgate cover and front bumper as well as scratches.

A third vehicle had damage to its hood, roof and tailgate cover with scratches around the entire vehicle. A fourth had damage to its roof, according to the report.

The report does not detail which vehicle sustained what damage.
