MD Fire/EMS Personnel Escape Serious Injury in Ambulance Crash

The ambulance from White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company was transporting a patient when it was hit by a vehicle Sunday morning.

Personnel aboard a Maryland fire company ambulance were injured Sunday morning when their rig was hit by another vehicle.

White Marsh Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance 203 was transporting a patient to the hospital under non-emergency conditions, the department posted on its Facebook page.

As the rig approached a Baltimore County intersection, another another vehicle attempted to turn in front of them. But, struck the ambulance, causing it to run off the road, according to the statement.

The fire/EMS personnel were transported to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. They were released after treatment. The original patient was transferred by another ambulance to the hospital. 

The Baltimore County Police are investigating the crash.
