A crash in the Bronx involving two FDNY ambulances injured four EMTs.
The accident happened just after 4 p.m. Saturday as both ambulances were responding to a call concerning an intoxicated person acting violently, WCBS-TV reports. The ambulances were a block away from the call when the crash happened.
No patients were in the ambulances at the time of the accident, and crews responding to the crash pulled out first responders who were trapped in the overturned ambulance. The four injured EMTs were taken to a local hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening.
Streets around the accident were closed for a few hours while the wreckage was cleared away, according to WCBS.
