Two OH Paramedics Injured in Ambulance Crash

A Marion ambulance and a police officer were responding to the report of a person drowning when the collision happened, injuring the officer and two paramedics.

Marion Fire reports that an ambulance and a Marion Police cruiser crashed while responding to a possible drowning call Monday, injuring an officer and two paramedics.

The crash happened shortly after 3 p.m. at an intersection in Marion, WBNS-TV reports. The first responders were headed to a report of a person drowning at Quarry Park.

A Marion police officer was injured and taken to the hospital before being flown to another medical facility. Two paramedics suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The drowning victim was taken to the hospital, and the victim's condition was listed as stable.

The crash is under investigation.
