A man having a heart attack died after the ambulance he was riding in was T-boned on a Manhattan street early Sunday, police said.
The 59-year-old victim was being rushed to the hospital when a Dodge Durango driver struck the FDNY EMS ambulance on 10th Ave. and W. 42nd in Hell’s Kitchen about 4:30 a.m., cops said.
Another ambulance soon arrived to take the man to Mount Sinai West Hospital, where he died. It is not yet clear if the crash factored into his death, police said.
The Durango driver and EMS workers suffered minor injuries, police said.
