Carl Heitmeyer
CARL HEITMEYER is deputy chief of the Elizabeth, NJ, Fire Department. He also served as a volunteer for six years in Iselin District 9. As a Level 2 instructor, Heitmeyer has been teaching firefighting and rescue throughout the state since 1986. He also is an adjunct professor in fire science program at Middlesex County College. Heitmeyer volunteers with New Jersey Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 1 and the New Jersey Initial Response Team (NJIRT). He holds a bachelor of science degree in fire safety administration from Jersey City State University.
