Jeff Brand
Jeff Brand is a 35-year veteran of the California fire service. Brand worked for CAL FIRE in the North Coast, Riverside and Nevada/Yuba/Placer Unit where he retired as a field battalion chief. During his career with CAL FIRE, Brand worked on both municipal and wildland assignments in Northern and Southern California. He was an Air Attack Officer, Type 1 Incident Commander, Operations Section Chief, Safety Officer as well as other positions while assigned to CAL FIRE Type 1 Incident Management teams. Brand was the coordinator of Placer County HazMat Team, served on various committees, and coordinated Wildland Extended Attack Command training for new chief officers at the Cal Fire Academy. He was the chief investigator of the Esperanza fire fatalities. Brand is a California State Fire and OHS instructor specializing in ICS, NIMS, and Command and Control. He now is employed by Elite Command Training, specializing in Command and Control Instruction.
