Brandon LeMay

Assistant Chief Brandon LeMay joined the South Bay Fire Department (SBFD) (Olympia, WA) in 2010 as the training and safety officer. He currently is the department’s chief of operations. LeMay has been in the fire service since 1996, when he graduated from the Louis F. Garland Department of Defense Fire Training Academy. As a U.S. Air Force firefighter, he was stationed in numerous places. LeMay also worked as a fire protection service contractor for the DoD in Afghanistan. Prior to joining the SBFD, he was a chief deputy state fire marshal with the Washington State Patrol, State Fire Marshal’s Office. LeMay received the Chief Fire Officer designation and the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer certification. He is a graduate of the University of New Haven, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in fire administration and a bachelor’s degree in fire/arson investigation.
