Symposium will feature outstanding fire prevention programs from across the nation
Vision 20/20 is announcing open registration for the second Models in Fire Prevention Symposium 2012 which will be held on May 4-6 in Reston, Virginia. This symposium will feature model fire prevention programs from throughout the United States with documented histories of effectiveness and is an unequaled opportunity to learn about programs that work and can be replicated in your community. Representatives from across the nation will be taking part, creating a fantastic networking opportunity.
In addition to the model programs being presented, there will be additional chances to learn about:
- Community Risk Reduction (CRR) methods implemented through US fire departments, focusing on firefighter involvement with home visits
- Emerging research with local implications from sources such as Johns Hopkins University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
- Products and services from select exhibitors
The first symposium in 2010 was a resounding success, a great educational opportunity and a chance to network with fire safety professionals to learn from each other, and this one promises the same! There are a limited number of open registration openings available for this three-day event. A registration fee of $125 helps to defray the cost of materials and meals provided during the Symposium.
