Richmond Police are continuing to investigate to determine if two bicyclists injured Monday night were hit by a Richmond Fire Department vehicle.

The two children, who suffered what appeared to be minor injuries, were taken to Chippenham Hospital for treatment, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Police are attempting to determine how the children came into contact with the vehicle at the intersection of Westover Hills Boulevard and Forest Hill Avenue.

Fire department spokesman Shawn Jones told reporters  officials were reviewing dispatch logs to determine what, if any, fire vehicle may have been involved.
