NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. --
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue battled a massive blaze at a warehouse in Northwest Miami-Dade Thursday morning.
It sparked at the Miami Brothers Corp., a cheese and aloe juice distributorship, in the 5900 block of Northwest 177th Street.
Firefighters said the roof of the building collapsed while crews were fighting the blaze. It took 80 firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control.
No other adjacent buildings were damaged, and no one was hurt.
As of about 6 a.m., no one had been able to reach the owner of the business, Local 10's Sasha Andrade reported.
"He lost everything. He's been working at it for a couple years and it's unfortunate. We've been trying to reach him, but we can't get a hold of him. That will be a shock for him in the morning, I'm sure," said Marcial Torres, who owns a nearby business.
It is still unclear what caused the fire.
