3 Rescued From Burning Massachusetts House

A firefighter suffered second-degree burns battling the three-alarm blaze and was hospitalized.

WORCESTER, Mass. --

Three people were rescued from a burning triple-decker apartment house in Worcester early Thursday, fire officials said.

One of those rescued was a baby, reports said. All were suffering from smoke inhalation.

A firefighter suffered second-degree burns battling the three-alarm blaze and was hospitalized.

There was no word on what started the fire. The cause is under investigation.
