ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --

A huge smoke plume could be seen over a recycling plant in Englewood Wednesday night.

Firefighters from Englewood, Sheridan and Denver attacked the fire from multiple angles. It was finally contained at about 4 a.m. Thursday.

The fire started at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at All Recycling just south of Ruby Hill.

The trash/recycling pile on fire was about a quarter of an acre in size and between 40 to 60 feet deep when it was burning.

According to Englewood Fire officals, the fire was contained to a very large pile and All Recycling is working with special large equipment to create a fire break in the metal storage area.

The pile was reported by All Recycling to be scrap metal from various items to include washers, dryers, hot water heaters, etc., according to Assistant Fire Marshall Marla Wilcox.

No one was injured in the fire, although individuals with respiratory problems were urged to stay indoors early Thursday.
