CUMBERLAND, Md. -- Dispatchers in Allegany County say a blaze in Cumberland sent one firefighter from the McCoole Fire Department to the hospital Thursday, and investigators believe the fire was intentionally started.
Officials say around 1:30 a.m. a fire broke out at a home on Willow Run Road in Rawlings.
State officials say the home partially collapsed while firefighters were fighting the fire, and part of the building fell on one of the firefighters' legs.
There's no word yet on the condition of the firefighter.
No one was living in the home that was destroyed by the fire, but officials say the owner was using the home for storage. The loss is estimated at $10,000.
Investigators say they are following leads to determine who started the fire.
