CHICAGO --

A woman was hospitalized in fair condition after being rescued from a Lincoln Park lagoon Friday morning on the North Side.

The Chicago Fire Department responded to a lagoon near Fullerton Avenue and North Cannon Drive at about 10:10 a.m. for a report of a person in the water, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Will Knight.

One person was transported to Saint Joseph Hospital in fair condition, according to Knight, who did not know the person's gender.

At 10:25 a.m., a woman was taken out of the water and transported to a hospital, according to a police Marine Unit officer, who said the woman may have had suicidal tendencies and may have been known to police in the area.
