Van Fire Claims Two Wisconsin Children

The Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department said a van fire in Luxemburg killed an infant girl and a 2-year-old boy.

Investigators said a 38-year-old woman parked a van and left six children inside when the fire started Wednesday afternoon.

The woman was burned trying to get all of the children out of their seats, authorities said.

A 9-month-old girl died at the scene and a 2-year-old boy died on the way to the hospital.

Investigators said the 2 children were not the woman's children.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
