CINCINNATI --
Rescue crews say no one was seriously hurt when a crane toppled early Wednesday.
The crane fell over just before 9 a.m. along Race Street between 12th and 14th streets at the construction site of the new School for the Creative and Performing Arts.
Witnesses told News 5's Michelle Hopkins that the crane swayed from one side to the other before falling with a sound like a sonic boom.
The road is closed, and pedestrians are being kept away due to fallen wires that may have electrified a fence.
Central Parkway is closed between Vine and Elm streets.
About 1,000 homes and businesses are without power. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
